The Weird World of Quantum Physics
Explore the strange rules that govern the universe at its smallest scale, where objects can be in two places at once and looking at something changes its behavior.
Like Duolingo, but for The Weird World of Quantum Physics. Tomo turns the whole topic into a game you play five minutes a day, until it actually sticks.
A short one: 12 levels across 2 sections, about 24 minutes end to end, roughly 5 days at five minutes a day. It moves through The Quantum Reality Check and Quantum Superpowers. It starts from scratch.

Key ideas in The Weird World of Quantum Physics
- Everything in the universe, including matter, has wave-like properties
- The 'particle' and 'wave' descriptions are two ways of looking at the same thing
- Quantum objects do not have a single, definite position until measured
- An electron exists in a 'cloud' of possible locations simultaneously
- The dual nature of all matter and energy
- The concept of probability clouds versus fixed positions
- The physical meaning of a quantum wave
- Waves in quantum physics aren't made of 'stuff' but of information about location
- As a wave, an electron requires a minimum amount of space to 'wiggle'
- Confining a quantum wave too tightly forces its energy to skyrocket, pushing it back out
- Energy is not continuous but comes in 'grains' or chunks
- Particles jump between energy levels without passing through the space between
- How duality prevents atomic collapse
- The concept of discrete energy jumps
- The act of looking requires bouncing light or energy off a particle
- Particles exist in a blur of multiple possibilities simultaneously
